About us

JESUS CHRIST IS LORD INTERNATIONAL MISSION SOCIETY

 JCIL qualifies as a mission society within the meaning of Section 1.6033-2(g)(1)(iv) of the U.S. Treasury regulations. More than one-half of our activities are conducted in, or directed at persons in a foreign country and is affiliated with nondenominational churches in the United States. We are in the Philippines and Thailand and praying for other international missions.

JCIL has its mission office on Leyte Island, Philippines and has partnered with the born again/Christian churches in the Philippines.

I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” John 14:6

Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit” Matthew 28-19

In obedience to these scriptures and commandments, JCIL is helping the Christian churches make disciples, plant and build churches. After WWII, there were American soldiers who stayed in the Philippines and became missionaries, planting and building churches.

The mission renovates and builds churches to withstand typhoon forces on Leyte, Bohol and Cebu islands in the Visayas. These islands are within the Philippines Area of Responsibility (PAR) which is a “Typhoon Lane” for violent typhoons which cause much destruction and loss of life. In 2013, Leyte was the strike pin for Super Typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan, a Cat 5 equivalent super typhoon. The most recent destructive typhoon was in 2021, Rai/Odette which damaged many churches.

The mission also includes evangelism of communities, the care of widows and orphans, children’s feeding programs, medical missions, hosting church conventions, the care of the churches and their pastors;

  1. 8 Churches from Bohol Island
  2. 7 Churches from Cebu City
  3. 2 Churches from Leyte
  4. 1 Church from Bantayan Island

The church stewards a rice field and distributes rice from its harvests. We are praying to for a mission to drill water wells in the mountains to improve community health and establish a relationship with the local community and its public officials. Water wells are means to gain access to Barangays (a barangay is a small community overseen by an administrator known as a Captain) to start outreaches and plant churches.

A mission directive is to plant churches in the Barangays of Villaba (35 barangays) and other municipalities on Leyte.

To date the mission has completed building and renovating the following churches in these Barangays on Leyte and Bohol islands.
