RICE FIELD STEWARDED BY SILAD CHURCH

Silad Church stewards a rice field on Leyte. There are three/four rice harvests a year and the success of a harvest is based on the prayers of the church. Rice farming is labor intensive and requires planting by hand and harvest. The field is deep and requires a Cebuano; water buffalo to plow the field. This field produces approximately 80 sacks (50 kilos) each harvest. The rice is distributed to the widows and needy church members. We are praying that God adds to the rice field.
